To facilitate a funding continuum for the energy-livelihood enterprises across various stages of growth, the programme has created a Funders Committee with a wide-variety of debt, equity, and grant funders to gain inputs to grow the sector and to achieve coordinated soft commitments.

Amit is passionate about working with early-stage social entrepreneurs who are trying to solve global development challenges through a market-based approach. He currently leads the efforts in identifying, coaching and investing in early-stage companies across India. Prior to Upaya, he led the enterprise development efforts at Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves for clean cooking entrepreneurs around the world by providing grant funding and capacity-building support.

Ankita Vashishta

Ankita is an experienced venture capital investor and entrepreneur. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and has worked with startups with a vision to scale across markets. She founded Saha Fund, India's first venture capital fund to invest and promote women entrepreneurship in technology. She is currently working on promoting women’s participation in the economy through value investing and is also interested in  supporting companies which are working towards women’s wellness and mental health space.

Archana has over 13 years of experience across management consulting, social development, and impact investing. She works to explore the cusp of private sector innovation and social impact for the foundation’s programs through strategic investments in innovative technology-enabled companies. Before joining the Strategic Investment Fund team, she worked across several of the foundation’s programs in India. Prior to joining the foundation, she spent six years at KPMG, advising CXOs of multinational corporation clients in India.

Beau is Co-Founder and Partner at Patamar Capital. Patamar invests in financial services and tech-enabled distribution platforms serving low and middle-income communities across emerging Asia. Over the last 10 years, Beau has led the firm’s expansion into new geographic markets.  He is the former Board Chair of RUMA (acquired by Go-Jek) and is on the board of mClinica.  Beau has been instrumental in integrating a gender-lens across the firm and launching Southeast Asia’s first gender-lens VC fund.

At present, he is the Managing Director at Maanaveeya Development and Finance. Maanaveeya is an Indian subsidiary of Oikocredit, that provides loans to stimulate sustainable development.

Karthik actively works to improve the clean technology entrepreneurial ecosystem for India. He started his investment journey with TVS Capital Funds, then at Ventureast and finally Acumen, an impact investment fund, before starting Sangam. He started Sangam to find a new model to provide early-stage support for climate change pioneers. He is also the Chairman of AIC-Sangam Innovation Foundation, India’s first dedicated Cleantech Incubator set up in partnership with the Government of India’s Niti Aayog.

Rasha Yousef Omar

Rasha is an agricultural economist and has been working in the field of agricultural and rural development since 1992. Prior to joining IFAD, she worked at the Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research and the Center for Development Services in Egypt. At IFAD, she has participated in the management of country programmes focusing on natural resources management, community development and rural finance as means to alleviate rural poverty and foster social equity for many countries.

Ravinder has over 13 years of experience in Impact Investing, Cleantech investing and Ops/credit risk management. Ravinder leads deal origination and strategy for the Cleantech debt portfolio of Caspian Impact. Prior to Caspian, Ravinder has worked with CARE Ratings and was responsible for managing a credit portfolio comprising renewable energy, infrastructure and large-scale manufacturing. He is a CFA charter holder and has done E-PGDBM from SIBM.
