Further, Powering Livelihoods will meet the unique needs of each selected enterprise through dedicated financial, technical, and sectoral growth support.

Devidayal Solar

Devidayal focuses on productive use off-grid DC appliances for income generation and enhancement.

The enterprise has designed award-winning solar DC freezers and is leveraging it to create supply chain solutions in the agri and allied sectors. It also provides solar home-kits, solar freezing and cooling solutions, and a range of solar street lights, all geared for consumers in weak-grid and off-grid areas.

Dharambir Food Pvt Ltd

Kissan Dharambir innovated a portable, multi-purpose processing machine for fruits, herbs and seeds.

The processor also works as a pressure cooker with temperature control and auto cut-off facilities. Further, it offers a condensation mechanism, which helps in the extraction of essence and oil from flowers, seeds and medicinal plants.

Greenwear is a marketplace for eco-friendly, decentralised textile value chain, generating livelihoods for rural women through solar charkha and loom.

Currently, the enterprise supports existing khadi and village industries with efficient supply chain, technology support and market development support.

Hydrogreens

Entrepreneur Vasanth Kamath founded Hydrogreens with the objective of addressing a 40 per cent shortage of green fodder that affects 70 million small and medium-scale dairy farmers in India.

Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, the enterprise develops technologies that are affordable and accessible to small and marginal dairy farmers. Hydrogreens grows fodder in a low-cost micro climate-controlled grow house that can operate even in 40 to 50 degrees Celsius with just half a bucket of water.

Khethworks has developed a solar pump system specifically for and with marginal farmers in eastern India. The solar pump system is a hyper-efficient, portable, open-well submersible pump system.

It is small enough to carry with a flow rate big enough to satisfy marginal farmers preferences at a bankable price point that does not rely on subsidy.

Resham Sutra manufactures solar-powered machines for the rural textile production value chain, offering higher productivity and better quality from farm to fabric.

The enterprise has commercialised nine machines for various activities including silk yarn production and weaving, helping existing artisans to improve their livelihood and bringing in new people, particularly the young generation into the industry.

Claro Energies Private Limited

Claro Energy offers solar-powered water pumping solutions to meet irrigation and drinking water needs in off-grid rural areas.

The company offers the entire spectrum of solar pumping solutions, ranging from 0.5 HP to 10HP AC & DC solar pumps, surface and submersible pumps. Claro Energy has impacted over 1,00,000 people in 14 states.

Coolcrop

Coolcrop provides energy efficient, modular on-farm micro cold storage of minimum 4MT capacity and predictive market analytics for farmers, FPOs, FPCs.

The systems are at least 20% more efficient than competitors, reducing the solar system cost significantly. The modularity allows farmers to increase the system without having to replace the existing installations.

Ecozen Solutions

Ecozen aspires to disrupt the way perishables are handled across the value chain and build an intelligent and completely automated after-sales service solution in the long run.

They offer two products, Ecofrost, a portable solar-powered cold room based on thermal energy storage, which can maintain low temperatures without any backup power, and Ecotron, a smart controller for irrigation pumps.

Inficold

Inficold is a National Technology Award-winning company making farm level cooling systems efficient and inexpensive to own and operate.

Their solar cold storage and solar milk cooler store energy in the form of ice. This off-grid solar cooling solution reduces post-harvest losses, improves quality and increases profit margins across the entire supply chain of agri produce.

KARMA

Kalinga Renewable Energy Manufacturers (KARMA) has developed India’s first MNRE certified solar micro pump, which is highly energy efficient and portable.

KARMA has also developed solar-powered aerators (with grid interoperability), which can be used to minimise the running cost of shrimp farmers.

New Leaf Dynamics

New Leaf has developed a patented refrigeration technology, GreenCHILL, a 5 – 30 MT ton cold storage system or 500 – 2000 L Bulk Milk Chiller that uses farm waste like biogas, biomass pellets, waste wood, husk, hay, and bamboo waste.

The biomass used is carbon neutral and does not contribute to environmental damage.

PLUSS

PLUSS pioneered the phase change material (PCM) technology in India and is currently the only Indian company with a wide range of indigenously developed PCMs and several patents to its credit.

PLUSS has developed an affordable and sustainable, drying device that helps in value addition of farmers’ produce and fetches them higher income.

S4S Technologies is a food preservation company which innovates food processors, including dehydrators. The machines are sold to farmers directly or used at their own facility to produce the best quality processed food.

S4S Technologies works with a range of partners to create a sustainable supply of processed food products.
